XDAT Version 1.6 - RELEASE NOTES #### NEW FEATURES #### - Progress bars to show the status of long-running tasks (such as data import and chart creation for large datasets) with a possibility to cancel such tasks. - Extended datasheet editing: - Possibility to edit parameter order - Possibility to remove designs - Possibility to remove parameters - Current filter value is displayed next to filter - Number locales can now be chosen between US and German (thus now also supporting "," as decimal character) #### FIXED BUGS #### - When datasets with many designs have string variables with many different levels this may have a strong impact on performance. In such cases the program may seem to have become unresponsive. It is therefore recommended to remove such variables. => Two things have been implemented to fix this: - The data import and file creation can now be aborted by the user through a progress bar dialog (see new features). - If the imported data has columns that contain both numerical and non-numerical values the user is warned to avoid numerical parameters being accidentally treated as non-numerical. - When importing data without headers the menu items that are required to continue working are not enabled. This makes the complete feature unusable. The only workaround is defining headers in the input file before importing it and using the option "import data with headers". => This is fixed - When making changes to the datasheet the charts are not updated appropriately. Especially when the change results in a discrete parameter becoming numeric the active charts do not reflect this change properly. => This is fixed - Session file saving does not work when the Cluster dialog was used in the current session. => This is fixed - Opening the Custom Parameter Selection Dialog from the Charts menu makes XDAT crash on Windows. => This is fixed #### KNOWN ISSUES #### - When updating the data table with open charts filters might move slightly leading to designs being filtered after the update that were not filtered before. - In the "Edit Clusters" dialog the multiple cluster removal does not always work properly. If several clusters are selected and the "remove" button is pressed, sometimes not all selected clusters are removed. - The "Edit Cluster" dialog is not loading anymore after loading a session. - Deleting a cluster removes all designs from the remaining clusters
