XDAT Version 2.0 - RELEASE NOTES Version 2.0 at last. This is a major release, with a lot of added functionality and significantly enhanced user experience for the already known features. I would like to thank Rick Malm once again for all the feature suggestions, the beta testing and many detailed bug reports. #### NEW FEATURES #### - There is a new chart option: Data can be plotted on a 2D scatter chart. The key advantage compared to other software that can typically do that is that the parameters that are assigned to x and y can be changed on the fly very efficiently. It is also possible to change the display based on filter settings in a parallel coordinate chart that is open at the same time. The user is encouraged to refer to the manual at http://www.xdat.org/index.php?ref=manual for further information. - The parallel coordinate chart has also been improved. It now provides a context menu that allows to make changes to the display settings in a more efficient and intuitive way than before. In addition, the most important changes can now be done directly in the chart by click and drag or mousewheel actions. Again, please check the manual for further info. #### FIXED BUGS #### - n/a #### KNOWN ISSUES #### - Scientific number formats are recognized as strings, not as numbers - When there are many parameters the menus for parameter display in charts and for parameter removal in the main window get very long. If they expand outside of the window that belongs to the menu then the menu items outside of the window cannot be selected by dragging to them and releasing the mouse button. The workaround is to open the menu with an actual click (press and release button) and selecting the desired menu item through another click. At the moment I am assuming that this is a limitation in Java. - When fixed default axis ranges are specified for parallel coordinate charts this may lead to the designs not being shown in the chart once it's built. Opening and reclosing the display settings dialog works around the issue.
